Gohan is extremely angered by being unable to save Krillin and attacks Freeza without hesitation.
He manages to knock Freeza into a small island below, and then he blasts him with a series of energy blasts before ending the attack with a Masenko.
Freeza is able to send it back at Gohan without taking any damage, but he is once again shocked that a child could produce such an attack.
Shortly after this, Freeza transforms into his original and most powerful form. Once he does this he immediately kills Dendea young Namekian who had been secretly healing Gohan, Krillin, Piccolo and Vegeta.
However, he is unable to land even a single blow. Gohan is shown to settle back into school life on Earth, waiting for Goku to return home from Namek. During the fight, Gohan asks Cell to stop the Cell Games tournament and then he tells him about his power. Cell, instead of heeding Gohan's warning, attacks him in an effort to force Gohan to show his true power.
Gohan holds his own for a while until Cell becomes impatient and bored. This backfires, however; he waits too long to finish Cell, who decides to self-destruct when transformed back to his semi-perfect form, as a last-ditch effort to destroy Gohan and the Earth.
Goku, in an act of self-sacrifice, uses teleportation to take Cell to Kaio-sama 's planet. Thinking Cell dead, the fighters lower their guard only to be surprised by a blast that kills Trunks. Cell returns, having regenerated from a single Cell that survived the blast, and also adopted the instant transmission technique. Right before Cell is about to finish Vegeta, Gohan intercedes which costs him the use of his left arm.
They both launch large Kamehameha waves at each other, which initiates a power struggle. Gohan uses this moment to unleash all his fury into his attack, which causes it to overpower Cell's. It hits Cell full-force which disintegrates all his cells, finally killing him.

A huge step up from the very first dub which sent the death concept into another dimension. Your father gave himself. Your father sacrificed himself. The Yemma scene is highly edited too. Bizarrely likely due to an error this appears in the home releases as well: The openings, outside of a few scenes, tend to forget that Krillin has six spots on his forehead. Frieza's leitmotif"Only a Chilling Elegy", contains ominous Japanese chanting. It should be noted that, at least initially, the Nicktoons version had the Japanese chanting left in. Same as before involving the scouters, but they seem to have adjusted some bits of dialogue and how the whole process works to highlight the need for strategy along with their "combat rating.
I think fighting these Earthlings would have taught you that by now! There's a lot of new material in the show, particularly during the Namek Saga, but present in other episodes as well. It's integrated almost seamlessly and can be spotted only by a couple of things like more "clean" looking dirt and scratches on the characters, more vibrant colors and a notably higher frame count during action sequences which the new material mostly consists of.
For some, Dragon Ball Z was their first voice acting role before becoming major players in the industry. The Ocean Group reportedly recorded their own English dub, just like they did with Z. Whether that accounts for the Buu Saga as well, or if it'll see the light of day on a Canadian TV station is unknown. See You in Hell: Super Saiyan Goku yells "See you in hell, Frieza! In the first episode, Linda Young still voiced Frieza, but when he appears later in the second arc, he's now voiced by Chris Ayres due to The Other Darrin being invoked.
One conversation between Zarbon and Frieza before the former's death reveals that they knew about Goku and Gohan that they are Saiyans, they live on Earth, and are father and son. But later, before Frieza's final transformation, he seems genuinely surprised that Gohan is a Saiyan from Earth, and also wonders who the father could be before settling on Raditz.

The broadcast version had a minor case of this where Piccolo's attack name is "Special Beam Cannon" to accommodate the original dub name but then becomes the "Makkankosappo" in a flashback, which the DVD version uses. However, he refers to it by its original Japanese name, Kienzan. Krillin calls it the "Destructo Disc" in later uses in the Nicktoons airings.
During Vegeta's rematch against Zarbon, he reveals that Saiyans grow stronger after recovering from near-death. Krillin hears this, and realizes that was how Goku managed to get so much stronger after he was beaten. But later on, while taking Gohan to see the Grand Elder, Krillin remarks that he doesn't know how Vegeta had gotten stronger than he was on Earth.
Just before he escapes the Z Fighters, Cell tells them he knows the Kaio-ken technique. This, of course, raises the question of why he didn't use it when he was clearly outmatched against Vegeta, and later, Gohan. After the defeat of Cell and our heroes making the wish, Goku notes that King Kai was brought back to life as well. In the next episode, he can be clearly seen with a halo still on his head.
During Goku's final battle with Kid Buu, two of the oni in Hell recognize Goku as "that guy who fell off Snake Way", which came from a Saiyan Saga filler episode that was excised from Kai.
This scene is also anime-exclusive, and thus the dialog is a holdover from Z. The mere showing of Hell in this series is also one, as Toriyama never showed Hell in the original manga, and the first true glimpse of Hell that is shown in Dragon Ball is in Resurrection 'F' and Super, where Frieza is is his own personalized Hell, stuck in a cocoon being tortured in a Tastes Like Diabetes world populated by angels, fairies, and stuffed animals.
Hell, even within the series itself, it's an inconsistency, since Piccolo describes Hell as the effect of someone getting purified of their evil and memories erased so they're no longer the people they were in life.
Then there's the whole reincarnation aspect of it. So people watching this version of the show to get an experience more like reading the manga aren't gonna get the best version of the series, unfortunately, since Toei didn't need to keep that footage in the episodes it appears in. The series' openings tend to show major characters, villains, and events before they're introduced in the show itself.
It's downplayed since this show is a recut of Dragon Ball Z and many longtime fans already knows these details. The eye catches for the Buu saga also do this, showing off the Fusion Dance and Potara Earrings before they're introduced in the show proper. When Goku first meets King Kai, the latter lists off benefits of his home planet, ending with being able to "pee for distance!
In the uncut version, Master Roshi was taking a crap. It was taken out in the Nicktoons version. Truer to the Text: It serves as a remastered Adaptation Distillation of the first Dragon Ball Z anime, with most of the filler removed, greatly reducing the original show's infamous abuse of talking is a free action. This is exemplified even more by the dub accurately translating the script, as opposed to what happened to the original Dragon Ball Z. Playing the same role for over years works wonders.
Even those assigned new roles seem to fit in. InSabat was simply trying to imitate Brian Drummond's Vegeta. Only a few episodes later in the same dub, Sabat gave Vegeta his current deeper voice but gained a strange accent along the way although Sabat later redubbed all of this for the Remastered boxsets with a voice fairly resembling his Kai voice. Sabat's Kai Vegeta compared to his Vegeta is worlds better. Also Sabat greatly improved his voice for Piccolo, whom in the original series had quite a hoarse and harsh sounding voice but in Kai sounds much cleaner, it's somehow wiser due to that factand it's actually a lot closer to his natural speaking voice.
Considering the new voice is the exact same voice that he uses for Zorothis isn't entirely surprising. Dameon Clarke's performance as Cell has also improved. Whether or not it's an improvement is a matter of contention, but Justin Cook's Super Buu is also changed, sounding deeper and more like a monster than the Z dub, with a guttural growl added to the voice.
